It all started with a buttery shortbread cookie and a boy who flew halfway across the world for love — the love of his grandmother.

Every few years, I’d visit her in her little village, tucked far from the noise of city life. Down the street from her home was a tiny bakery that made the softest, most buttery shortbread cookies I had ever tasted. I was obsessed. So much so that my grandmother, not wanting me to wait for the next trip, decided to learn how to bake them herself. She didn’t just get close—she made them better. Every time I came to visit, she had a fresh, warm batch waiting. It became our little ritual, our shared language of love.

Years passed, and she passed too. Suddenly, there were no more visits, no more cookies. I never got the recipe—I always thought she’d be there to make them for me.

In her absence, I felt a pull to find those cookies again. I began tinkering in the kitchen, testing, failing, adjusting—hundreds of batches later, something magical happened: the smell, the texture, the memory—it all came rushing back. Through that process, I didn’t just find the recipe. I found a new appreciation for how delicate, complex, and joyful cookies really are. And I found healing.

What started as a quiet little hobby—baking cookies for friends, family, and neighbors—turned into something more. When my wife and I had our son, we named him Adoomi, and I knew I wanted to pass on the legacy my grandmother had unknowingly started. She never got the chance to meet him, but I know she would’ve loved him, just as she loved me—with fresh cookies, warm hugs, and a whole lot of heart.

And so, Adoomi Bakehouse was born. A tribute to the woman who baked with love, the son who carries that legacy forward, and the cookies that connect us all.

From our family to yours—thanks for being part of our story. 🍪

The Recipe I Found After She Was Gone

The Adoomi Way

At Adoomi, cookies aren’t just dessert—they’re memories, stories, and little acts of love passed from one generation to the next. Our journey began with a grandmother, a boy, and the most buttery shortbread you can imagine. That single cookie sparked something bigger—a deep appreciation for how a simple, homemade treat could make someone feel seen, loved, and at home.

We carry that feeling into everything we do. The Adoomi Way is about baking with intention: using only high-quality ingredients, crafting playful and whimsical flavor combinations, and making cookies that comfort, surprise, and delight.

Our “why” is rooted in legacy, but it’s meant for today. We want to share the same love and joy that cookies brought to our family—with yours. Every cookie we bake is a warm reminder that the sweetest moments in life are often the simplest ones.

Community First

After years of working in the tech industry, I came to believe one thing deeply: technology should be used to scale good. That belief is baked into everything we do at Adoomi.

That’s why we donate 10% of our net proceeds to support Essential Work, a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching tech skills to kids in underserved communities, along with offering career-building programs for adults.

Essential Work’s mission is close to our hearts. They focus on empowering women, BIPOC, visible minorities, and new immigrants by providing the tools, training, and support needed to succeed in the tech sector. Their programs don’t just teach skills—they open doors, build confidence, and change lives.

At Adoomi, we’re not just sharing cookies—we’re investing in futures. Because to us, doing good is just as important as baking good.
